Zeynep Arkan was born in Diyarbakir, Turkey in 1995. She started her academic studies with ceramics and then continued with an interior architectural degree which she completed at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University in 2020. Her passion for linoleum prints came later into life with her “mini-brand” called Lebonart&Works, where she meticulously plays with iconic chairs and buildings. She describes her eagerness to produce saying “The only way for me to keep my soul and brain vigorous is to produce and see my labor concretely. I experimented with many different disciplines until I discovered what I loved and realized that the common language of all these fields was the process of creating the work and the search effort.” Her print archive started with “the chair” - which she calls “the most iconic thing” and then expanded with other architectural designs. For her, buildings have sentimental value and her desire to recreate some of these iconic structures in smaller scale is pretty extraordinary. She also produces her own hand-made paper which she uses to create this visual dairy and to share them with the World.
